How Much Does a Wedding Photographer Cost in London?
There is no honest single price for wedding photography in London. A two-hour registry ceremony and a multi-location, full-day celebration require different time, planning and team capacity. The useful question is what a quote includes and whether it fits the day you are organising.
What usually changes the quote
Coverage time is the most visible factor, but it is not the only one. Travel between locations, early starts, late finishes, guest numbers, simultaneous ceremonies, second photographers and the amount of editing all affect the work involved.
Photography-only coverage differs from a coordinated photography and film team. Albums, expedited delivery, pre-wedding sessions and additional events should be itemised rather than hidden inside a vague package name.
Compare like with like
Ask each photographer to state the hours, number of team members, expected deliverables, delivery method, usage terms, travel costs and payment schedule. A lower figure can stop being lower once essential coverage or travel is added.
Look at complete galleries or substantial event sequences where possible. A small set of hero images does not show how consistently someone handles indoor light, family groups, speeches and the less controlled parts of a wedding.
Build the brief before requesting prices
Prepare the date, venues, ceremony time, approximate finish time, guest count and the parts of the day you want covered. Mention traditions or parallel activities that may need two people in different places.
