Choose the person who can handle your actual wedding, not simply the portfolio grid you like most. London days can involve tight travel, mixed lighting, several cultural traditions and a schedule that changes in real time.
Start with evidence
Look for work from ceremonies, portraits, groups, speeches and evening celebrations. Consistency matters more than one dramatic photograph. Ask whether the people and events shown are the photographer’s real commissions and whether a wider gallery can be viewed.
If film matters, compare sound, editing rhythm and full sequences as well as trailers. Confirm who will attend and whether the work you are viewing was created by that person or team.
Test the planning and communication
A good enquiry response should ask about the date, venues, timings, traditions, guest count and priorities. It should be clear what happens next and what is required to secure the date.
