A graduation location should make the achievement clear without making the session difficult. Begin with the university campus, then add a second setting only if timing, travel and gown access allow it.
Campus first
University entrances, courtyards, libraries and recognisable signs give the photographs context. They also make it easier for family to join around ceremony commitments.
Identify quieter edges of the campus rather than waiting for the most crowded doorway. Your photographer can use angles and timing to keep the background purposeful.
Landmark and river settings
Westminster and the South Bank can provide recognisable London views; Greenwich can offer architecture and open space; Canary Wharf gives a modern visual style. Every option has trade-offs in crowds, transport and permissions.
Do not plan too many stops. One campus and one nearby location will usually produce more considered work than racing through several landmarks.
Accessibility and weather
Check step-free routes, walking distances and places to wait if older relatives or children are joining. Bring a compact umbrella and have a covered alternative in mind.
